NCIS Announces Two New Senior
Officers
OVERLAND PARK, KAN…National Crop
Insurance Services, Inc. (NCIS),
announced today the promotion of two of
its current employees to senior vice
president status.
Mike Sieben, former Senior Project
Director, has been promoted to Senior
Vice President of the Loss Adjustment &
Insurance Products (LAIP) Division and
Frank Schnapp, former Vice President of
the Actuarial & Statistical Information
Services (ASIS) Division, has been
promoted to Senior Vice President of the
ASIS Division.
Mike Sieben joined NCIS in 2006. He
started in the crop insurance industry
in the summer of 1972 as a summer
per-diem crop- hail adjuster while
teaching and coaching. His full time
experience in the crop insurance
industry began in 1976 and has included
positions as a crop-hail field
representative, MPCI Claims Manager, and
Crop Insurance Department Manager for
Farm Bureau Mutual of Kansas. He has his
Bachelor of Science degree in education
from Kansas State University.
“Mike has served the industry in
various capacities throughout his career
in crop insurance, including leadership
roles on NCIS committees and industry
activities while he was with Kansas Farm
Bureau,” said Tom Zacharias, President
of NCIS. “He brings a company operations
perspective to this position and I
believe he will be a tremendous asset to
LAIP and our member relations.”
Frank Schnapp joined NCIS in 1998 as
the Director of Actuarial Analysis and
Research, and was promoted to his vice
president position in 2004. Schnapp is
an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial
Society and a member of the American
Academy of Actuaries. He brings more
than 30 years of actuarial experience to
this position, including 20 years in
pricing property and casualty coverages.
“Over the last two years Frank has
taken a significant leadership role in
the SRA (Standard Reinsurance Agreement)
negotiations,” said Zacharias. “His
contributions also include his work on
crop-hail actuarial issues and his
efforts associated with the industry
profitability analysis conducted by
Grant Thornton. Frank has an excellent
ability to effectively communicate
complex actuarial and analytical
concepts to our membership.”
