Information Technology Support Technician

National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS) has an immediate full time opening for Information Technology Support Technician

Company Description

NCIS is a not-for-profit actuarial, statistical advisory and training organization for the crop insurance industry.   NCIS is located in Overland Park, KS.

Job Summary 

Install, maintain and support computer and network hardware, software and personal technology devices. Ensure proper operation (including repairing, rebuilding and upgrading) of Blackberries, PDA’s, cell phones, notebooks, desktops servers, printers and other network devices. Participate in an on call rotating technical support schedule (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

Requirements

  • Good oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and computer software
  • Experience with cell phones, Blackberries and PDA’s
  • Microsoft Windows networking experience preferred
  • Ability to solder preferred
  • Coursework in elementary electronics preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain laser printers preferred
  • Associates Degree plus two years PC operations and maintenance experience or 4 years related experience and/or training.
